Besides being a blogger and student, I am a freelance coder and often take on work during holidays or indeed whenever I have a reasonably sizeable contiguous stretch of time.
Websites
I have made several dynamic websites such as University Interviews (which I co-created with James Scott-Brown), WWFP and (as personal projects) contact and expenses managers. I can probably do basic functional mockups of new websites within days, depending (of course) on complexity.
I’ve mostly worked on sites using PHP/MySQL backends and HTML/CSS/JavaScript frontends but my work with Firefly Solutions has largely involved C#.NET, MSSQL, XSL and JQuery so I’m familiar with a wide variety of web languages and platforms. I’ve also began to dabble with HTML5′s capabilities.
Programming
Websites aside, I’ve worked on (amongst many others) projects such as a DMX (theatre lighting) control program, Firefly’s Content Management System and Facility Booking System, data visualisation programs such as the ones I built during the ESA European CanSat Competition 2010 and my work at Microsoft, and an AI for Complex Hearts.
I’ve also experimented with mobile platforms and have worked on both iPhone and Android apps for EducationApps.
